I currently work at the Durango Cancer Center, located in southwest Colorado in the San Juan mountains. We have a great team to ensure every step of the process is done professionally. For a consultation with me in Durango please call 970-385-4746. I can also be reached by email for questions.
I believe in patient empowerment, education, and participation in treatment choice. My goal is to provide high quality innovative radiation treatment customized for each person.
I was a radiation oncologist in Tulsa for over 20 years before moving to Durango. I originally received my medical degree from McGill University. I am board certified in radiation oncology.
Over the past 20 years I have had a lot of experience with prostate radiation, probably treating over 2000 men with prostate cancer. While with CTCA we treated 1000 men with a combination of HDR prostate brachytherapy and intensity modulated radiation radiation (IMRT). Once SBRT became popular I realized that you could use the same dose and get the same great results if you used SBRT instead of the uncomfortable HDR. I also worked at the Prostate Cancer Institute for a few years where I treated many men with IMRT alone. I have used four different machines with stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) capability to treat prostate cancer patients: Cyberknife, TrueBeam, Trilogy, and TomoTherapy.
